Desperate narcissist – there is no other way to describe him – Beto O’Rourke crashed a press conference being held by Texas Governor Greg Abbott on the Texas school shooting that claimed the lives of 19 children in a sad attempt to score political points.

Abbott had just wrapped up speaking and updating the community on what has been learned thus far regarding the horrific shooting.

Abbott provided information on social media posts that showed the shooter chillingly announcing he was going to shoot his grandmother, that he had shot his grandmother, and how he was now “going to shoot an elementary school.”

The Texas governor at times had to compose himself as he discussed the tragedy. He discussed the heroes that helped stop the shooting

O’Rourke, a Democrat most known for his radical anti-Second Amendment views, saw an opportunity to make a political point.

Beto O’Rourke Turns Attention to Himself By Crashing School Shooting Press Conference

In one of the more disgraceful political displays I’ve ever seen, Beto O’Rourke stood up in the middle of the press conference discussing 19 dead children and began shouting that the shooting was “totally predictable” and “preventable.”

“You are doing nothing,” O’Rourke said, pointing in Abbott’s direction.

Why he thought it was a good idea to crash a press conference WWE-style in the middle of a serious matter concerning heartbreak and pain, an event attended by actual family members of the victims, is anybody’s guess.

Uvalde Mayor Don McLoughlin summarized everybody’s disgust by hitting right back at O’Rourke for the attention-seeking ploy.

“I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a bitch who would come to a deal like this to make a political issue,” he shouted very audibly.

Neither can I. And yet, there he was.

A Hollow Shell of a Man

If Beto O’Rourke was thinking crashing a press conference on an elementary school shooting was going to reflect well on him, he was wrong.

As he was being escorted out of the building, O’Rourke decided he needed a little more attention. He turned and began the finger-pointing once again toward Abbott.

“This is on you, until you choose to do something,” he shouted before again being interrupted by the Uvalde mayor.

“It’s on assholes like you, why don’t you get out of here,” McLoughlin yelled back.

A handful – perhaps a pair – of supporters of Beto’s continued interrupting the press conference suggesting he was simply expressing a First Amendment right to free speech.

Of course, what his supporters don’t realize, is that O’Rourke has all the time in the world to make his politically motivated comments.

He could have held his own press conference. Instead, he chose to interrupt a press conference on a school shooting that claimed the lives of 19 children. He chose to turn the attention away from them and focus it on himself.

There is absolutely no way to interpret his actions as anything other than a political ploy.

Hopefully, the Democrat experiment with Beto O’Rourke will finally be over after this display. Live-streaming your dental appointment is one thing. Drawing attention to yourself in the wake of tragedy is an entirely different ball game.

O’Rourke should have been arrested after being escorted out. He should have his own mental health evaluated.
