An estimated 400 Americans are still dying from Covid-19 each day — a number that federal health officials say is unacceptable, on top of more than one million previous deaths from the virus. At the same time, a new and updated coronavirus vaccine has just become available, and the Biden administration is embarking on another campaign to persuade Americans to get their Covid shots.
New York Times reporters are looking for people who will share the stories and experiences of loved ones who have recently died. We know these are difficult stories to share; we are hoping to better understand and report on patterns of who is still dying from Covid more than two years into the pandemic, as well as hear more about what you loved or are missing about the person.
If you know someone who has died of Covid-19 during the past three months, our reporters would like to hear from you. We will not publish your name with your submission without contacting you first. We may use your contact information to follow up with you.
