If the war stops now Russia is the winner….

I live 30KM away from the ukrainian border, in Romania.

Please. Go and look at an ethnic map of Ukraine. You will see that the vast majority of ethnic russians live exactly where the russians are occupying Ukraine now which in the end is a good thing for Russia when we are talking about unification of those regions with mainland Russia.

If you actually believe that Russia wanted to occupy the whole Ukraine you are completely wrong. That whole wannabe german blitzkrieg was to see how Ukraine is reacting. Losing a shitton of poor soldiers for nothing? Seems like a normal thing a dictator like Putin would have done. Even if they miraculously do it they can’t keep it theirs and it will be too cost effective for them to do so. And people that live west just don’t want it. Only ethnic russians want to unify with Russia.

But hear me on this. If the war stops now Russia is the winner. How?

1. They destroyed the barrage UA made to stop water flow in Crimeea
2. They occupy eastern Ukraine where the big chunk of Industry is (or was) but nonetheless the infrastructure is still there.
3. They have the Port of Mariupol. A deep water port which is very important from a strategic standpoint
4. They occupy Zaporizhzhya NPP which is the biggest nuclear power plant in Europe and does almost 50% of Ukraine’s nuclear energy

“Yea but they lose so many soldiers and generals?” My guy…it’s war….human lifes are replaceable. It’s not that hard to understand that.

Do you know what isn’t important? Controlling empty fields with 0 importance whatsoever.
