Two-time Super Bowl champion Von Miller has turned himself in to police after a warrant for his arrest was issued in a case of alleged domestic violence involving a pregnant woman.

Police were called to a “major disturbance” at the Buffalo Bills player’s home in Dallas on Wednesday.

Police said Miller, 34, is alleged to have argued with and “assaulted a pregnant person”.

Miller left the scene before police arrived.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The Glenn Heights Police Department confirmed he had turned himself in on Thursday afternoon.

He was booked into DeSoto Tri-City Jail in Texas, posted a $5,000 (£3,960) bond, and was released a short time later.

On Wednesday, the Bills said in a statement they were aware of the matter and were “in the process of gathering more information”, while the National Football League said it would “follow all legal developments”.

The charge of assaulting a pregnant woman that Miller is facing is a third-degree felony in Texas and punishable by prison.
