Lindsey Graham urged police officers to use their guns during the January 6th riot at the Capitol, suggesting they should have shot protesters “in the head.”
The revelation comes according to excerpts from a new book by former D.C. police officer Michael Fanone.
“You guys should have shot them all in the head,” the officer-turned-CNN contributor recalls the South Carolina Senator saying.
“We gave you guys guns, and you should have used them,” Graham allegedly continued. “I don’t understand why that didn’t happen.”

Lindsey Graham: Shoot Trump Supporters at the Capitol
To be fair, nearly everything reported by former officer Fanone needs to be taken with a grain of salt. His hiring by CNN is an indicator that his words are being used as a means to go after Republicans and Trump supporters.
Fanone was dragged into a mob and beaten during the chaos at the Capitol on January 6th. He suffered a heart attack during the altercation and later publicly denounced Republicans and any others who downplayed the attack.

He was one of four police officers whose testimony before the House Select Hearing on the Capitol riot in July of 2021 moved Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) to tears.
Fanone became visibly emotional himself during testimony, saying “what makes the struggle harder and more painful” is seeing lawmakers “downplaying or outright denying what happened” on January 6th.
“The indifference shown to my colleagues is disgraceful,” Fanone said, raising his voice and pounding the table.

That said, this marks the second report on the Capitol riot that indicates Lindsey Graham wanted officers to shoot Trump supporters who had breached the complex.
A Washington Post investigative report detailing the events of that day back in November recalled a similar scenario.
Graham, according to the report, was livid that senators had been forced to flee their chambers due to protesters that had entered the Capitol.
“What are you doing? Take back the Senate! You’ve got guns. Use them,” he told police personnel. “We give you guns for a reason. Use them.”
Graham’s office later confirmed the quotes.

Celebrated Biden as the ‘Best Person’ to Lead the Country
The latest recounting of events surrounding Lindsey Graham and the Capitol riot are yet another indicator that the Senator was easily led astray following the incident – either by the media narrative or his Democrat colleagues.
Audio surfaced this past spring showing Graham was so distraught following January 6 that he actually felt Joe Biden was the “best person” to lead the country going forward.

“Biden will be better, right?” asks a reporter in the audio clip.
“Totally, he’ll be maybe the best person to have, right?” Graham replied. “I mean, how mad can you get at Joe Biden?”
Perhaps Graham should be asked that question again with the backdrop of higher gas prices, higher grocery bills, lighter paychecks, dead soldiers in Afghanistan, and a completely wide open border resulting in a humanitarian crisis for both illegal immigrants and the American people.
Fanone’s book also claims House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will at times “FaceTime” with him “at 3 a.m.,” which is the stuff of nightmares.
He adds that Reps. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Kinzinger have helped him behind the scenes, along with Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and her father Dick Cheney who reportedly took him out to dinner.
