NEW YORK, NY / ACCESSWIRE / October 6, 2022 / The Manhattan Vintage Show, New York City’s most prestigious vintage show, is returning this fall to the landmark Metropolitan Pavilion on October 14th and 15th. For its first time in 25 years, the longest-running vintage show will debut new on-demand services along with over 90 different entrepreneur dealers as its new owners, Amy Abrams and Ronen Glimer of Shop Extraordinary Enterprises, take the helm.
With their shared mission to cultivate a movement that brings “vintage for all” to the forefront, local New York-based entrepreneurs, Abrams and Glimer, are providing the community with new ways to sell, discover, and shop vintage.
“The new Manhattan Vintage Show is about equal dedication to our vintage dealers and to our shoppers, similar to our approach with Artists & Fleas and Regeneration,” says Ronen Glimer. “We are constantly exploring new opportunities that will turn the traditional retail model upside down so it’s always new, fresh, all-inclusive, and most importantly, fun.”
Abrams’ and Glimer’s Manhattan Vintage Show this October will showcase over 100 years in vintage through its independent dealer’s one-of-a-kind collections and new partnerships.
“I have been an advocate of supporting vintage and creator entrepreneurs long before I was an entrepreneur myself,” says Amy Abrams. “I’ve forged personal relationships with many of the dealers at the fall show for over 20 years, both as a vintage lover and as a businesswoman. With the acquisition of the Manhattan Vintage Show, I’m able to continue my support while also re-imagining the entire experience.”
Featuring dealers whose collections span from the 20th century through the 21st century, each one comes to the Manhattan Vintage Show with unique offerings to showcase and sell. Each dealer is hand-picked by Abrams and Glimer to ensure a highly curated and diverse Show, so shoppers can expect everything from Victorian-era jewelry and one-of-a-kind designer couture to an endless selection of vintage designers such as YSL, Gucci, Pierre Cardin, and Mary McFadden.
New partnerships at the Manhattan Vintage Show this season include on-site tailoring experts, Alternew, and on-site Manhattan Vintage Fashion Stylists, Kahdeasha Kesten, Michelle Morrissey, and Eva Dayton (available by appointment). These new services will be available to shoppers and dealers on October 14th and 15th to provide a full 360 vintage experience and revive the community’s existing relationships with vintage clothing, vintage craftsmanship, sustainability, and the overall history of fashion and design.
“Our partners at the Show are essential. Together, we can unite a community in a way that appeals to everyone,” says Amy Abrams. “To provide services, like on-demand tailoring and styling ultimately helps take out any uncertainty when approaching vintage. We want people to feel excited, playful, curious, and not intimidated or bashful.”
To complete the Show’s two-day takeover of the Metropolitan Pavilion, food and beverage will be available for purchase from New York City-based Miriam Restaurant, a globally inspired Middle Eastern restaurant led by Chef Rafael Hasid, in addition to vintage-themed signature cocktails like The Manhattan Vintage and Old Fashion is the New Fashion. There will also be local DJs at the Show to complete the upbeat and celebratory atmosphere.
The Manhattan Vintage Show reinvigorates a new generation of vintage and sustainable-focused business owners and individuals each season and is a common space where the concept of #vintageforall will continue to live and thrive.
