The daughters of convicted 1/6 defendant Guy Reffitt said that if their dad got seven plus years, Trump deserves life in prison.

Reffitt’s daughters said to the assembled media outside of the courthouse after their father was sentenced to more than seven years for 1/6 related crimes, “I think it paints a bigger picture to mark my dad as this horrible person and then having him prosecuted like this when somebody is maybe even able to get elected again. It doesn’t seem right to me.”
Reffitt’s other daughter said, “Trump deserves life in prison if my father is in prison for this long.”
The daughters say that Trump was the reason why their father attacked the Capitol, and they used the term indoctrination while speaking to reporters.
Donald Trump uses indoctrination tactics like repeating his lies and false statements until his supporters accept them as fact. The 1/6 Committee has provided evidence that violence was part of Trump’s purpose on 1/6. Trump wanted to agitate the mob so that they would attack the Capitol and block the certification of President Biden’s victory.
The daughters have a valid point. If Trump’s foot soldiers are being locked up for years for doing his bidding, then the mastermind of the scheme and the man who incited the mob should be incarcerated for the rest of his life.
