Linden-based Epic makes a regular priority of giving back locally, regionally, and internationally

LINDEN, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / August 10, 2022 / Epic Level Up Group, a leading private lending brokerage for real estate investors in New Jersey, announces that the company has donated a portion of the ticket sales from their May 22 real estate investment seminar, “Find Fund Flip,” to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

JT Morel and Benz Jean, the company’s founders and chief loan officers, regularly give a segment of ticket sales from Epic’s frequent seminars to charity.

“All of our events are ways for us to give back,” says Morel. “When your business supports a good cause, it doesn’t just improve your world; it makes your business better. We are here to help however we can.”

For Epic, philanthropy means more than just writing a check. Benz and Morel, who are of Haitian and Latino descent, respectively, aid the Haitian and Latino communities in the area whenever possible. “You can’t forget your roots,” says Morel, “and we feel blessed to be able to give back.”

Both are directly involved in business organizations like the region’s Latino Chamber of Commerce, which supports the community through scholarship formation, advocating for autism awareness, and raising money for local police departments.

“We take our role as business people and citizens seriously,” Morel says. “We are committed to giving. If we can help, we should, and we are fortunate to have a business platform to do so.”

For Morel, a military veteran who served during active military conflicts overseas, supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine was an obvious choice and one close to his heart. Epic’s “Find Fund Flip” ticket sales directly supported the Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine organization.

Morel explains that he has seen the horrors of war and its effect on the citizens living through it. “Because of my military experiences,” he says, “I’ve come to understand that we are very fortunate in the United States. It hit me hard when I saw what was going on over there. I wanted to help.”

Morel and Benz are committed to continuing to give back actively to their world, locally and beyond, through business and charity initiatives whenever possible.

“At one time, we are all in a position of need,” Benz says, “and when we see those in need, we should do what we can to help. We are not here just to receive. We are here to give.”
