A 5-year-old boy left in a car outside the Texas school where his parent worked has become the 18th child to die in a hot vehicle this year.
Officials held a news conference Friday about the boy’s death, which happened Thursday, but released very few details, including whether his mother or father worked at the school or how they came to leave him in the car on a 99 degree day.
