When asked by the BBC’s Sumi Somaskanda about preparations for a government shutdown, Republican Tim Burchett went on a tangent and lamented that while his constituents in Tennessee were hard at work, “these groups up here will start their meetings at 10:30, cater in a lunch, and take a couple of hours off in the afternoon.”
