New video shows the crash that left a truck hanging from the Clark Memorial Bridge in Louisville, Kentucky, on 1 March 2024.

The dashcam footage shows an oncoming pickup truck swerve out of its lane to avoid a stalled vehicle before it crashes into the truck, sending the cabin of the vehicle and the driver inside to hang 75ft (23 meters) above the Ohio River. Firefighters conducted a dramatic rescue of the driver, using an aerial ladder and pulley to haul her to safety.

The video was played in court on 15 May, during a hearing for Trevor Branham, who was driving the pickup truck, reports CBS News, the BBC’s US partner. Branham has been charged with multiple counts of wanton endangerment, along with one count of operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
