Tonight, Harry Styles made his Coachella debut. During his Friday night headlining set, Styles brought out Shania Twain for covers of “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” and “You’re Still the One,” sang One Direction’s hit “What Makes You Beautiful,” performed eight songs from his 2019 album Fine Line, and made the live debut of “As It Was,” the lead single off his upcoming album Harry’s House. Styles also performed two new unreleased songs: “Boyfriends” and “Late Night Talking.” Watch highlights from the set below and follow all of Pitchfork’s Coachella 2022 coverage.

When introducing Twain onstage, Styles took a moment to share how important her music was to him growing up. “In the car with my mother as a child, this lady taught me to sing. She also told me that men are trash,” he said. “To you, to the memories you gave me with my mother, I will be forever grateful. I’m so grateful you’re with us here tonight. This is very special for me.”

Harry’s House is out May 20 via Columbia. The album was recorded in multiple locations across the United Kingdom, Los Angeles, and Tokyo between 2020 and 2021. Styles wrote the LP alongside frequent collaborators Kid Harpoon, Tyler Johnson, and Mitch Rowland. The title seemingly alludes to “Harry’s House / Centerpiece” off Joni Mitchell’s 1975 album The Hissing of Summer Lawns.
