The special grand jury in Fulton County, GA, that is investigating Trump for criminal election meddling has subpoenaed Sen. Lindsey Graham and Rudy Giuliani.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported:
The Fulton County special grand jury investigating potential criminal interference in Georgia’s 2020 elections has subpoenaed key members of former President Donald Trump’s legal team, including his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, according to copies obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
….
In addition to Giuliani, among those being summoned are John Eastman, Cleta Mitchell, Kenneth Chesebro and Jenna Ellis, all of whom advised Trump on strategies for overturning Democrat Joe Biden’s wins in Georgia and other swing states. The grand jury also subpoenaed South Carolina U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of Trump’s top allies in the U.S. Senate.
Sen. Graham called Georgia election officials and pressured them to overturn the state’s election. Giuliani was a key player in the effort to get states to overturn the vote as he was Trump’s point man in the pressure campaign, and he worked with John Eastman on the illegal scheme to overturn the election.
The Georgia investigation is the only known active criminal probe into the activities of Donald Trump and his direct associates to try to overturn the election. The Justice Department is investigating the fake elector scheme, but it is unknown if they are investigating Trump as part of the plot.
Georgia represents an actual potential criminal liability for Trump, Graham, Giuliani, and others. There is trouble brewing in Georgia as some of Trump’s closest allies have been subpoenaed.
