Former President Donald Trump has made a decision in his “own mind” on whether or not he’s going to make another White House run in 2024.

In fact, he revealed the only true drama left in the process is making a decision on whether or not to announce his intentions before or after the midterm elections.

“Well, in my own mind, I’ve already made that decision, so nothing factors in anymore,” he told the Intelligencer in an interview published Thursday. “In my own mind, I’ve already made that decision.”

“I would say my big decision will be whether I go before or after,” he continued. “You understand what that means?”

“Midterms,” he explained.

Trump’s ‘Decision’ on 2024

Normally somebody saying they’ve made a decision about announcing a decision wouldn’t be newsworthy. But Trump has a very valid point here.

The big news will be whether or not his announcement affects the midterm elections, which are almost universally expected to be a massive red wave.

Some people fear that if Trump announces he’s in for 2024, it will force candidates in competitive elections to either side with or against him, which could create problems for their campaigns.

Or, it might motivate Democrat voters who could otherwise be apathetic to get out and vote just to stop those Republicans they believe support him.

Too Much Drama

81 million people – according to the numbers at hand – came out and voted AGAINST Trump in 2020. They didn’t vote for Biden. And some have suggested Trump’s insistence on continuing the election fraud gambit cost them the Senate shortly thereafter when they lost the Georgia Senate runoffs.

In other words, Mr. Trump, please, for the good of the nation, wait until after the midterms. Don’t give the real ‘wacko birds’ something to feed off of.

Yes, with the economy floundering the way it is and failures on every front for Democrats and their progressive keepers, a midterm shellacking of the American resistance seems inevitable.

But why give their low-information base something that will cause them to drag their asses off the couch and vote Democrat just because they’re anti-Trump?

As an example of what more Independent or left-leaning voters may be thinking, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has shifted politically to the point where he voted for a Republican for the first time recently, has said he wouldn’t support Trump because of “too much drama.”

Now, some might say ‘Who cares what a career Democrat voter thinks?’ But there is a political and cultural shift happening in this country right now and it’s to the benefit of the GOP.

Musk’s comments are a perfect microcosm of a voter that might be on the fence. No matter what great, pro-American things Trump has done for this country, they simply can’t bring themselves to vote for him because he’s angry, or mean, or causes liberal hearts to drown in sorrow.

We can’t let that get in the way of the midterm elections. We need every vote to save this nation in November of 2022. It’s the only hope we have of stopping this train wreck of an administration.

If Republicans gain control of Congress and find a way to slow Biden down and possibly turn the country around economically, then that might bode well for Trump’s own campaign.
