President Biden told Kentucky flood victims that we are all Americans and we are all obligated to help.

Video clip of Biden:

The President said, “And it’s true that the people here in this community of western Kentucky and the folks I met in the tornado, they are not just Kentuckians, they’re Americans. They’re Americans. This happened in America. We are all Americans. Everybody has an obligation to help. We have the capacity to do this. It’s not like beyond our control. The weather may be beyond our control for now but it’s not beyond our control. I promise you, we are staying until everybody is back to where they were.”

Compare Biden’s comments to Trump, who withheld aid from Puerto Rico. Trump did go to Puerto Rico to throw paper towels at hurricane victims.

Biden showed how a real president is supposed to sound and act. Joe Biden didn’t win Western Kentucky in 2020, but there he was saying that the only thing that matters is that they need help, and he is here to make sure that the people of Kentucky get the help that they need.

It used to be that Biden’s sort of comments was the norm for presidents. Joe Biden took an oath to protect the American people. Biden takes his oath seriously, so he is there when the American people need him.

Joe Biden is showing Republicans what a real president sounds like and making those who continue to grovel to Trump look even worse.
