Bounce Back For Life Coaching Says the Way We Think Can Make or Break Positive Outcomes — Especially for Breast Cancer Survivors
MAHOPAC, NY / ACCESSWIRE / June 5, 2022 / A recent study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that individuals with a growth mindset scored significantly lower on mental health issues and stress than those with a fixed mindset. Growth mindset refers to core beliefs that our talents can be developed through practice which may subsequently influence our thoughts and behaviors. By contrast, those with fixed mindsets believe that talent and intelligence are something you either have or you don’t.
The report also found that people with a growth mindset were more likely to take control of their own health and be more resilient in the face of challenges or difficulties. Individuals with fixed mindsets suffered more stress and self-reported symptoms of psychological disease. They were also less likely to bounce back from failures.

Giovanna Tartarone – Founder of Bounce Back For Life Coaching – is an educator, transformational life coach, and breast cancer survivor. An advocate for the mind-body-spirit connection in battling the disease, Tartarone knows firsthand what it takes to move through such challenging mental space.
“When I was diagnosed with cancer, my mind went into autopilot as I created thoughts of my life coming to an end,” Tartarone says. ” But I knew in order to survive, I had to change my mind to think differently. I can attest that the need of having a growth mindset is essential in order to realize our true potential and feel secure in our ability to live life to the fullest. I knew I had to do a mindset transformation for myself. It was the only way to save my life.”
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. As of January 2022, there are more than 3.8 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. This includes women currently being treated and women who have finished treatment. About 85% of breast cancers occur in women who have no family history of breast cancer.
As an educator, Tartarone studied mindset principles and learned that the subconscious mind controls 95% of our daily activity. She also discovered that our beliefs create our thoughts which really control our life.

“It was clear to me that I was preventing myself from healing,” Tartarone said, adding that the average person will typically have more than 6,000 thoughts in a single day. “But now I view cancer as a special gift that helped me to rediscover my true purpose in life.”
Bounce Back for Life Coaching supports additional research on the mind-body-spirit connection to deal with cancer, and wants to help others understand the mind-body-spirit connection. Doing so can improve their health and well-being, and help them to embrace their inner selves and focus on a healthy state of mind using the power of their thoughts. They’ve additionally created a Facebook group for survivors to connect and share uplifting stories and videos about their journeys.
Tartarone, who has been cancer-free for five years, added that what began as a “personal and difficult experience has evolved into my desire to educate others how to change their mindset to discover their true self and strengths and live the life they desire.” Bounce Back for Life Coaching celebrates with her and so many others today – June 5th, the National Cancer Survivors Day.
“Our thoughts are energy and when we become aware of our thoughts, our attitude and feelings can change,” Tartarone says. “And our bodies can change too. This is how we heal, this is the key to live and thrive.”
