John Fetterman’s campaign has a New Jersey homecoming prepared for their Senate opponent Mehmet Oz that includes banners welcoming the Republican home.
According to a press release from the Fetterman campaign provided to PoliticusUSA:
On Sunday, the campaign will also fly a banner from the back of an airplane over beaches on the South Jersey shore from Cape May to Brigantine welcoming Oz back to New Jersey.
…..
In addition, the campaign will run an airplane banner up and down South Jersey beaches this Sunday, with the message “HEY DR. OZ, WELCOME HOME TO NJ! JOHN.” The banner will reach thousands of beachgoers at the shore, from Cape May to Brigantine, where many Pennsylvanians go to vacation.
Fetterman is also releasing a new ad that will run statewide on broadcast and cable television. The ad will run in Erie, Pittsburgh, and Scranton.

The ad and the airplane banner are all reinforcing the message that Oz is not a Pennsylvanian. The Republican isn’t doing himself any favor by filming his campaign ads in New Jersey.
Oz is not trusted by Democrats and many Republicans in the Keystone State. With the exception of Herschel Walker in Georgia, the Oz campaign has been one of the biggest 2022 midterm disasters for Republicans so far.
Republicans both in Pennsylvania and nationally have expressed disappointment with the Oz campaign, as Fetterman is defining Oz as Republicans are generating very little pushback against the popular Democratic Lt. Governor.
