The Russians are playing chess, not checkers.
Germany, Europe’s largest manufacturing economy, will not receive gas from Russia anymore via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.
Germans are about the experience third-world living conditions. If freezing in winter with hardly any food isn’t enough to cause them to rise up then nothing will.

Harsh awakening for many European countries, as they thought that they are doing well because they are smart and hardworking, law abiding and environment friendly, but it was just cheap Russian gas.
Russia’s sanctions seem to be a lot more effective than the U.S.’s sanctions.
Biden tried to put a cap on the price for Russian oil.
Putin puts a cap on the pipe. Checkmate.
Looks like the EU was in a big hurry to eliminate livestock, farming, oil, coal, gas etc.
Now we get to see how happy they are to have their wishes fulfilled all at once.
They may huddle cold, poor and hungry in the dark, but they’ll suffer knowing that have really helped the environment and supported Ukraine.
At least the population is all triple and quadruple jabbed.
That should help some.
