This October, New Scientist Live, the world’s greatest festival of ideas and discoveries returns to London, and will also be streamed worldwide.
This year’s event brings together some of the biggest names in science and technology at London’s ExCeL for a show like no other. Across three days, visitors will get the chance to see 80 exhibitors and 56 main stage talks. This year’s show will also be streamed live, meaning that if you can’t attend physically, you can follow along digitally. With an online ticket, viewers can jump from stage to stage and even send questions to the speakers, so wherever you are in the world, you won’t miss out on the excitement.
Join us from Friday 7 October to hear from researchers tackling some of humanity’s greatest challenges alongside the search for the biggest number in the world and the smallest particles in the universe.

This year’s show features four stages: Mind and Body, The Universe, Our Planet and The Future.
On the Mind and Body stage you can hear Adam Rutherford on eugenics, Kat Arney on a new view of cancer and Blair Merrick on faecal transplants.
On the Universe stage you’ll see Frank Close talking about Peter Higgs and his boson, Harry Cliff on a potential new force of nature and Suzie Sheehy on physics experiments that changed the world.
Our Planet is the stage for everything environmental. From Jules Howard on dogs to Seiran Sumner on wasps, we’ve got the science behind your favourite and perhaps least favourite animals, as well as a glimpse into the complex minds of our closest relatives, presented by Rebecca Wragg Sykes.
Finally, the Future Stage is where you can discover how science will shape the coming decades, with keynote addresses from Astronomer Royal Martin Rees and government chief scientific adviser Patrick Vallance.
Tickets are available for either Sat 8 or Sun 9 or you can save by booking the whole weekend. On Friday 7 October we’ll be running a dedicated day just for schools. We’ll feature handpicked speakers who’ll showcase everything that science offers, from mind-bending maths puzzles to the wonders of nature. Students can also meet dozens of exhibitors and see the huge range of careers STEM can offer.
