Packers three-round mock draft including two huge trades, one with Jordan Love heading to the Seahawks.
You will either love this Green Bay Packers three-round mock draft or you will hate it. Either way, this one is a lot of fun.
Pro Football Focus has updated its mock draft simulator to allow for players to be included in trade offers. Well, it was simply too tempting to pass up the opportunity to play Packers GM and see what I could do.
Using the simulator, this is the three-round mock draft I was able to put together for the Packers.
Round 1 (22): Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia
A dream start in the opening round. If Georgia defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt is still on the board when the Packers hit the clock, Brian Gutekunst shouldn’t need long to make his decision.
Green Bay strengthened its defensive line by signing free-agent Jarran Reed earlier this offseason. Adding a potential future star like Wyatt could help take Joe Barry’s defense to the next level.
Wyatt is an incredible athlete with an RAS (Relative Athletic Score) of 9.56 out of 10.
NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah wrote that “Wyatt has tremendous upside and could emerge as the top interior lineman in this class”.
Both a strong run defender and also able to provide plenty of interior pass rush, Wyatt would be a perfect complement for Pro Bowler Kenny Clark, Reed, and Dean Lowry along Green Bay’s defensive line.
Wyatt would be an excellent choice when looking for a defensive player who could immediately become a starter and make a huge difference for the Packers.
