Theft: Mayfield Road

Walmart management reported May 13 that an employee had failed to accept payment when ringing up gift card transactions on two occasions for the same customer. The Euclid woman, 20, added a total of $2,500 onto five cards during the two transactions.

It was determined that the customer was her boyfriend. She had also been caught on surveillance video using one of the gift cards at the Eastlake Walmart.

She was charged with theft. A warrant for complicity to theft was entered for her boyfriend, a 21-year-old Cleveland man.

A Walmart employee was charged with two counts of theft May 13. The Cleveland man, 33, had stolen $104 worth of electronics from the store on separate days.
