During a visit to the Democratic Party’s headquarters in New Hampshire, US President Joe Biden said that Donald Trump should be locked up “politically”.
The president was referring to a 2016 Trump campaign line, where crowds at Trump rallies would chant “lock her up”, referring to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
The Trump campaign responded to Biden’s remark: “He and Kamala’s plan all along has been to politically persecute their opponent President Trump.”
